Great Falls Field Trip

Take I-66 to 495 and go North toward Maryland. Take Exit 13 and go west on Georgetown Pike (Rt. 193). Stay on 193 until you see the sign for Great Falls Park to your right. These are the falls they show on TV every time the Potomac rises. The rock is metamorphic. Check out the canal and locks (a short walk) and the museum. Estimated time of the trip is 6-8 hours depending on the day and time. There may be an admission fee. Cheap!
